Dean Qin then elaborated on the institute’s overseas programs. On August 15, 2022, the Indonesia-Shaanxi Polytechnic Campus was officially launched. Supported by the special Asian regional cooperation funds of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the campus is built under the flagship China-ASEAN Top 100 Vocational Schools Partnership Program. It is an overseas education brand established in East Java, Indonesia, integrating resources from Indonesian vocational institutions and Chinese enterprises.

Committed to cultivating local overseas technical talents who speak Chinese well, understand cross-cultural communication and master professional skills for Chinese enterprises going global, the campus offers a Shaanxi Polytechnic model and solution for China’s vocational education to serve major national strategies. Two Chinese enterprises including Shaanxi Blower Group and ten Indonesian vocational colleges such as Semarang Viva College jointly run the campus through school-enterprise cooperation.

Targeting job demands in modern manufacturing, information technology & big data, smart logistics, engineering construction, finance & tourism, textile, chemical and other industries, the campus leverages high-quality Chinese enterprises operating in Indonesia and the institute’s flagship majors as dual core strengths. It integrates eight core functions: joint talent training, inbound international student education, vocational skill training, short-term study tours, language courses, innovation and entrepreneurship support, academic exchanges and research cooperation. The campus supplies talent resources for Chinese enterprises operating overseas and Indonesia’s economic and social development, effectively solving human resource shortages for partner companies and strengthening the institute’s capacity to serve enterprises abroad.
